Gary Bergman, Systems Manager

This position is responsible for the office-wide computer system infrastructure and operations including security, fault tolerance and daily operations. Assist with user hardware and operating system requests and development. This position is responsible for servicing the Fund website.

The position is responsible for the daily handling of all Fund accounting. This includes direct oversight and responsibility for both the Administrative (staff) accounting and the Operational (participants and employer contribution) accounts.




James Cope, Compliance Audit & Contracts Manager

This position is responsible for ensuring the producers' compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements. The compliance function is responsible for the scheduling, oversight and reviews performed by independent accountants on producers' contributions to the Fund. This department is also responsible for the research and tracking of the exploitation of all obligated films for payment to the Fund. The compliance department also works with the Fund's paralegal and management on pursuing the Fund's claims against a producer filing for bankruptcy protection and works with the Fund Administrator and legal counsel on matters related to litigation and audit settlement negotiations.

This position has responsibility for the daily functioning of all Fund operations, as well as general oversight of the various departments. This position works directly with and for the Fund Administrator, and has involvement in establishing Fund practices and policy.




Dennis Dreith, Fund Administrator

This position is responsible for determining Fund policy. The position is entrusted with full Fiduciary responsibility for and the proper handling of all Fund operations, Fund contributions, and for ensuring that the Fund meets and carries out its obligations as defined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. In other words, this is the Great Grand Poobah!!




Guy Hubbard, Manager, Film Inquiries & Omissions Research

The primary function of the Film Inquiries & Omissions Research Department is to investigate musicians' Film inquiries. These are claims by musicians that they have been improperly credited or omitted from films, in total or in part. If these claims are verified, the Film Inquiries staff will credit the omitted musician(s), both retroactively and prospectively.

 

Chris Kuhrt, Operations Manager

This position is responsible for the management and oversight of general operations for the Fund, with regard to the allocation of producers' contributions, research for and crediting of participants to paid films and all details related to the participants themselves. This includes handling all of the participant correspondence, email, phone calls, and website interface. Information from all these sources must be collected, maintained, updated and accurately reflected in the Fund’s database to ensure a successful annual distribution. 

 


Jo-Anne McGettrick, Manager, AFM/AFTRA Intellectual Property Rights Distribution Fund

This position is responsible for all aspects of research pertaining to each sound recording project for which royalties are disbursed, as well as the allocation and distribution of those royalties. It is also responsible for entering and maintaining data in the AFM/AFTRA database as well as interfacing with the various departments and working directly with the Fund Administrator.

 

Scott W. McKinlay, Community Relations

This position is responsible for the majority of The Fund's presence at trade shows and entertainment industry events and also strives to make The Fund more accessible and accountable to our participants and to the entertainment community worldwide.

 


Karen Tucker, Human Resources Manager and Paralegal

The human resources function of this position is administrative and includes responsibilities related to the employees of the Fund such as hiring, employee benefit administration and the maintenance and establishment of personnel policies. The paralegal function of the position deals with Fund operations on issues directly related to the participants of the Fund. This position involves issues related to participant divorce settlements, beneficiary status and income verifications and the review of legal documentation provided by courts or government agencies. In addition, for Companies filing bankruptcy, the Paralegal reviews documentation and files Proofs of Claim on behalf or the Fund.

 

Ed Wilkinson, Application Systems Development

The position is responsible for Fund software applications, database and website development and day to day functionality of all custom applications.
